Screenshot

At the beginning of the model creation process, some general information about the model must be provided. Except for 'Author(s)' every field in the form is mandatory and necessary for the model to be executed later by our platform and to ensure sufficient information for the Yield Monitor. It is also important to note that after the successful and confirmed upload of the model (step 7, it will no longer be possible to change the provided data, except for 'Author(s)' and 'Model description'.

The following provides a detailed explanation of all individual elements of the form:

Model Description

Model Name

The name under which the model should appear on the Yield Monitor page.

Author(s)

The author(s) of the model. The name stored in your profile will not be displayed in the publicly available information about this model. Only the author(s) specified here will be made available to the public in the model information. This field remains editable even after the model submission.

Model Description

A longer description of the model can be added here, including details such as paper links, website links, and additional descriptions. This field remains editable even after the model submission.

General Information

Country

The country for which the model generates the predictions.

Crop

The crop type for which the model generates the predictions. This field depends on the selected country, as Greenhub.ai only supports a specific number of crop types for each country.

Spatial Resolution

The spatial resolution on which the model makes its prediction.

Model Output

Type of Model, Prediction Month, (Model Execution Months)

The model type determines when the model is executed. Two options are available: 'End of Season' model and 'In Season' model.

In an 'End of Season' model, the model is run only once at the end of the season for the harvest. Therefore, the 'Prediction Month', which you select below with a slider, is also the only execution month of the model.

Example:

An 'In Season' model also has a 'Prediction Month' marking the end of the season and the time of harvest. However, using the 'Model Execution Months' slider, a separate period during the season can be selected in which the model should be ran. Any period within the twelve months before the selected 'Prediction Month' can be chosen, with the 'Prediction Month' usually included, but it doesn’t have to be.
